Kathryn Sullivan

Kathryn Sullivan is an artist based in Jersey City, NJ. She received her BFA from St. John's University in Jamaica, NY, and completed her MFA in Fine Arts at Queens College in 2019.
Sullivan is a mixed media artist who works across installation, sculpture, painting, drawing, ceramics, and jewelry. Her custom apparel line is drawn from a recent series of paintings.
Her work is concerned with connecting to the deeper self — sitting with anxiety, and tracing how that anxiety translates into a kind of pollution of both mind and planet.
Sullivan has experience wood-firing in both Noborigama and Anagama kilns, developed at Peter's Valley School of Craft in Layton, New Jersey, where she received scholarships to study.
